A 40-year-old man was shot Friday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

He was sitting outside of his vehicle about 8:30 p.m. in the 5900 block of South Bishop when a light colored vehicle drove past and someone in the backseat on the passenger’s side fired shots.

He suffered gunshot wounds to his right hand and leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
