A man was shot Sunday afternoon in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

The 48-year-old was standing in a front yard when he heard shots and felt pain at 4:46 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Union, according to Chicago Police. He was struck in the right calf.

He took himself to Little Company of Mary Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.
