A Matteson man won $200,000 instantly when he stopped for gas in south suburban Calumet City, the Illinois Lottery announced Wednesday.

Onzo Wilkerson stopped for gas at River Oaks Mobil, 1401 Torrence Ave., and decided to buy a Bingo ticket, according to the lottery. He took the ticket back to his car where he scratched it and realized he had won $200,000.

Wilkerson said he plans to put it all in the bank, the lottery said.

“I drove home so carefully, and I kept looking in my wallet to make sure the ticket was still there,” Wilkerson said.
