A 25-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday from injuries he suffered in a northwest Indiana crash.

Lukasz Giertler was pronounced dead at 5:25 p.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He died of blunt force head injuries after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle at 104 N. Main St. in Crown Point, Indiana, less than a half-mile from his home in the 600 block of West Joliet Street, authorities said.

Crown Point police could not immediately be reached for further details.
