A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash off the Interstate 290 Eisenhower Expressway early Sunday in west suburban Elmhurst.

The crash happened about 1:20 a.m. on the ramp from eastbound I-290 to North Avenue in Elmhurst, according to Illinois State Police.

The driver, identified as 39-year-old Jason Swinehamer, was dead at the scene, according to police and the DuPage County coroner’s office. He lived in La Grange.

No one else was injured.

Speed might have factored into the crash, police said.
