A 22-year-old man died Friday afternoon after a forklift mishap in the northwest suburbs.

At 2:47 p.m., Daniel Blatz died at the scene at 1201 Estes Ave. in Elk Grove Village, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Blatz, of the 1400 block of Karen Drive in West Dundee, suffered multiple blunt force injuries and his death was ruled an accident, authorities said.

Elk Grove police didn’t immediately provide more details.
