Authorities entered their fourth hour of searching for a woman who went missing in Lake Michigan off of a northwest Indiana beach Friday night.
The U.S. Coast Guard began the search for three women — whose ages weren’t known — about 7 p.m. off Porter Beach in Chesterton, Ind., according to a Coast Guard official at their Michigan City, Ind. office.
Two of them were rescued but the third had not been located as of 11 p.m., the official said. He referred more questions to an official who was not available because he was assisting with the search Friday night.
The Chesteron police and fire departments could not reached for comment.
