Overnight lane closures on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) and on South Meacham Road in Downers Grove will begin Monday to install new bridge beams.

Weather permitting, overnight lane closures will be scheduled over five nights from Feb. 15 to Feb. 22, according to a statement from the Illinois Tollway.

On eastbound I-90 at Meacham, one lane will close at 8 p.m., and a second lane will close at 10 p.m. with intermittent full lane closures lasting 15 minutes between 11:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m., the tollway said.

On westbound I-90, one lane will close at 10 p.m. and a second lane will close at 11 p.m., with traffic shifting to the right, the tollway said. All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m.

On South Meacham Road, one lane in both directions will close at 8 p.m. and reopen by 7 a.m., the tollway said. Traffic will travel on the new southbound side of the bridge while the new northbound side of the bridge is being built.

The bridge will remain open to pedestrians during construction, according to the tollway.
