The CTA is suspending Green Line service between the Roosevelt and 35th-Bronzeville stations Saturday.
The temporary suspension will start at 1:40 a.m. through 11:40 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, the CTA said in a statement.
The Chicago Department of Transportation is building the new, $50 million station at Cermak that will fill a gap between existing Roosevelt and 35th-Bronzeville stations, the CTA said. The new station will also provide access to McCormick Place.
