A 14-year-old boy was shot Friday evening in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The boy was standing about 7:40 p.m. on the corner at the intersection of South Rockwell and West 24th Place when someone in a dark-colored SUV fired shots, striking the boy in the upper left arm, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

A police source said the shooting might be gang-related.
