A person was wounded in a shooting Saturday night in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.

The male, whose age was unknown, was shot in his left calf about 7:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Argyle, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition, police said.
