A woman was shot to death Thursday morning in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side.

Shaquita Denise Bennett, 31, was shot in the head about 10:15 a.m. in the 6900 block of South Clyde, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Bennett, who lived in the same neighborhood, was pronounced dead at the scene.
