A railroad police officer’s squad car was shot Tuesday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The officer was driving down an alley in the 6400 block of South Stewart Avenue at 7:45 p.m. when someone fired shots, damaging the vehicle, police said.

Additional details were not immediately available.
