Oakton Street between Lincoln and Laramie Avenues in north suburban Skokie will be closed for the 2016 Skokie Backlot Bash.

Starting Friday at 10:00 a.m. until Monday at 2 a.m. Oakton Street will be closed between Lincoln and Laramie Avenues, according to a statement from the Village of Skokie.

The Backlot Bash will take place in a closed-off two-block portion of Oakton Street, between Lincoln and Laramie Avenues adjacent to Skokie Village Hall, the statement said. Most parking lots within two blocks of the event will also be closed.

Village Hall hours will remain the same Friday and commuters are asked to park in the southeast lot behind Village Hall and other public parking lots near the Skokie Public Library.
