Sneed hears a boffo birthday party is planned for President Barack Obama at the White House on Friday night.

First lady Michelle Obama, 52, has organized the event for her hubby, the 44th president of the United States — who is turning 55!

“It’s really hush hush,” said a top Sneed source, who will be attending the event.

(The president is set to hold a private briefing at the Pentagon after holding a meeting with his national security team on Thursday.)

The White House press office said they had released no “press guidance” on any birthday event for the president.

“It’s so hush hush, it was expected the president’s birthday would be celebrated on Martha’s Vineyard, where the Obamas were supposed to head on vacation Friday,” a second source said.

“But it will be held at the White House.”

Although Sneed has no official access to the guest list and at least one birthday guest did not know who else was invited, Sneed is told a phalanx of Chicago buddies are expected to be there, including Obama BFF Marty Nesbitt, Ariel Investments’ John Rogers and Mellody Hobson who has been in Europe with her husband, “Star Wars” czar George Lucas.

Word is Obama’s hoopsters, his basketball buddies — which include former body man Reggie Love, and Craig Robinson, Michelle’s brother — are also expected to be in attendance.

Since taking office eight years ago, the president has quit smoking, denies reports he has a numerical habit of only eating seven almonds at a time and has sprouted a head of gray hair. POTUS is also reportedly in great physical shape.

“It’s Barack’s last birthday in the White House — a time he always spent as a date night with Michelle,” the second source said. “You can bet this is going to be quite an event.”

Sneed hears White House senior adviser and Obama family BFF Valerie Jarrett has helped put the shindig together. But don’t be surprised if film mogul Steven Spielberg and actor Tom Hanks, as well as Beyonce and Jay-Z, show up. Or will it be an intimate, private affair?

The big question: Will Oprah Winfrey, once a frequent White House fixture, be part of the final birthday farewell crowd?

Will the Rahmster be in attendance?

Stay tuned.
