A southwest suburban man became $250,000 richer after recently winning the Lucky Day Lotto.

Jose Briano won the Jan. 30 drawing after purchasing his ticket at Cigarette City, 6250 S. Harlem in Summit, and matching all five numbers: 09 – 19 – 21 – 24 – 30, according to a statement from the Illinois Lottery.

The 36-year-old construction worker from Mexico is married with two children and said he plans to go on vacation and remodel his home with his winnings.

The retailer will receive a bonus of $2,500, or 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
