A 17-year-old boy was seriously wounded in an Austin neighborhood shooting Sunday afternoon on the West Side.

Emergency crews responded at 12:51 p.m. to the attack in the 5000 block of West Erie, according to Chicago Police.

The boy suffered one gunshot to the right leg and was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Police said he wasn’t cooperating with the investigation.
