Eight people, including three children ranging in age from 2 to 4 years old, were injured Wednesday in a car crash in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

Two vehicles crashed at 3:43 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Halsted Street, according to police.

Four people were taken to St. Bernard Hospital, three were taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, and one person was taken to Holy Cross Hospital. All their injuries were non-life threatening, police said.

Fire Department Media officials said one adult suffered serious injuries.

A 34-year-old man was found on the sidewalk in the 200 block of East 111th Street at about 10 p.m., police said. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
