Three men were shot Saturday night in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

About 9:50 p.m., the three men were standing with a group in the 6900 block of South Vernon when a person walked up and opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

One man, 23, was shot in the knee and taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, Gaines said. Another man, 18, was shot in the foot and also taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, Gaines said.
