The Washington Street bridge is scheduled to close Friday morning for inspection, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The bridge will be closed over the Chicago River from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., IDOT said.

Drivers traveling east on Washington should turn north on Canal Street to eastbound Lake Street, then south on Wacker to return to Washington, IDOT said.
