Weekend lane closures scheduled on Dan Ryan for bridge reconstruction in Englewood

Weekend overnight closures on the Dan Ryan at 63rd Street and the adjacent Red Lane station are scheduled to begin Saturday for beam installation as part of the 63rd Street bridge reconstruction in South Side Englewood.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday, the left lane of the southbound express lanes will be closed and a second lane will close at midnight. All of the southbound express lanes will be closed between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday, according to a statement from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
On the northbound express lanes, the left lane will close at 9 p.m. Saturday and a second lane will close at 11 p.m. All of the northbound express lanes will be closed between midnight and 7 a.m. Sunday, according to the statement.
A full closure of the Dan Ryan’s express lanes in both directions will take place late Saturday to Sunday morning. One lane of the southbound local lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday, according to the statement.
The Red Line station at 63rd Street will be closed from 10 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday. Free shuttle buses will operate between the Garfield and 69th Street Red Line stations during the closure, according to the statement.
