A 48-year-old man was shot inside his vehicle Saturday evening in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

At 5:12 p.m., the man was sitting in the parked vehicle in the 4000 block of West Madison Street, according to Chicago police. He became embroiled in an argument with another male standing outside — until the male pulled out a handgun and fired several gunshots at him.

The 48-year-old was struck in his shoulder and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said. No one was in custody early Sunday.
