A woman found a 3-foot python in her Englewood neighborhood apartment Monday night on the South Side.

She called police about 10:05 p.m. after she found the snake in her home in the 6500 block of South Normal, according to Chicago Police.

Police said Chicago Animal Care and Control responded to the scene and took possession of the snake. The woman was not injured.
