A woman was shot Sunday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 11:30 p.m., the 23-year-old was in the doorway of a building in the 5900 block of South Carpenter when she heard gunfire and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

She was shot in the left hand and taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
