Woman shot in West Pullman

A woman was shot Friday evening in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The 40-year-old was in front of a residence in the 11900 block of South Lafayette about 7 p.m. when someone walked up and shot her in the hip, according to Chicago Police.

She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
