Man shot in back in West Lawn

A man was shot in the back early Saturday in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 24-year-old was in a car about 2:40 a.m. in the 6100 block of South Kildare Avenue when a white vehicle drove up and a person fired shots from inside, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The man was found unresponsive in an alley in the 10700 block of South Lowe Avenue, police said.
The man suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead at University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
