A 26-year-old man was shot to death Friday night in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

David Marin was standing on the sidewalk about 10:20 p.m. in the 4600 block of South Washtenaw when someone inside a silver SUV fired at him, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Marin, who lived in the Marquette Park neighborhood, was struck multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Police initially said he was 25 years old.
