A man was shot in the left leg Thursday night in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 21-year-old was walking about 11:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Jeffery when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been struck, according to Chicago Police.

His condition was stabilized at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.
