In a closed meeting with GOP members earlier today, U.S. House Speaker John Boehner won a standing ovation, according to sources in the room.

President Obama has repeatedly criticized Boehner, accusing him of allowing the most extreme part of his party to hijack the U.S. economy.

But insiders are now saying that the Speaker is now seen as loyal, and standing by all of his members.
