WASHINGTON–House Speaker John Boehner–after failing to defund and delay Obamacare–on Monday–hours before a partial federal shutdown said he will lead a House vote later today to strip the individual mandate from the law. That is the provision requiring everyone to buy health insurance or face a penalty. This measure–sure to pass the House in the next few hours with GOP votes–is dead on arrival in the Democratic Senate.
