WASHINGTON–House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) is hosting a fund-raiser here on Thursday for former Rep. Bob Dold (R-Ill.), making a comeback bid to win back the 10th District seat he lost last November to Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Ill.)

The 2014 battle between Dold and Schneider–both are expected to be the nominees and not face a significant primary bid–is a priority for the Democratic and Republican House political operations.

Boehner’s event for Dold is 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Club.

The price points, according to an invitation:

Host: $2,000 PAC/$1,000 personal

Dold served one term representing the north suburban 10th District.
