Video: Rauner picks woman as running mate who is 'embodiment of American dream'

Gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner announced he picked a suburban woman who is the daughter of immigrants as his running mate.

In a release this morning, Rauner said he chose Evelyn Sanguinetti “because she “is the living embodiment of the American dream.”

According to Rauner’s campaign, Sanguinetti’s father legally immigrated to the United States from Ecuador, and her mother entered the country as a Cuban refugee.
