It’s no secret that explosive allegations could be filed today against Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford.

The attorney for Rutherford’s former employee told WLS Radio’s “Bruce & Dan” this morning that she’s planning to file early afternoon, leveling serious allegations against the GOP gubernatorial candidate.

“Obviously the allegations are false. If there is a lawsuit filed today then the Treasurer will respond,” his spokeswoman Mary Frances Bragiel said. “He’ll possibly have a media avail if something is filed today.”

In a Jan. 31 press conference, Rutherford said: “There’s absolutely no truth to the allegations. No factual support or merit.”
