Proving that there’s no shortage of ridiculous petitions to the Obama administration (that Justin Bieber one received 266,000 signatures, by the way), one person wants to change the official presidential anthem.
We, the undersigned, call on the President of the United States to change the official Presidential anthem from Hail to the Chief to Santana (featuring). Rob Thomas’ Smooth. Playing Smooth shall precede the appearance of the president at official functions and gatherings. The song shall be performed by an appropriate live band when appropriate. (Ideally, Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas.)
So far, it’s not picking up much steam, as it needs roughly 99,000 more signatures.
