Columnist Michael Sneed has the details on President Obama’s new deputy chief of staff, who is a North Shore native:

Dateline: The local line . . . President Barack Obama is adding another New Trier High School graduate to his top White House team. Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s former chief of staff, also is a graduate of New Trier.

◆ Top shot: Anita Decker Breckenridge, who graduated from the North Shore school in 1996, is replacing Deputy Chief of Staff Alyssa Mastromonaco, who is expected to have a top role in the creation of Obama’s presidential library.

◆ Backshot: Breckenridge, 35, who is now Obama’s personal Oval Office assistant, has worked for him since he served in the Illinois Senate.
