People may have been giving John Travolta some grief this week for his gaffe at Sunday’s Oscars, and “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart is outraged that more people care about this than Senate Republicans blocking a veterans health care bill because they say we can’t afford it.
Stewart took a few minutes on his show to lay into them for what he calls “truly shameful behavior.”
He points out that those same Republicans had no problem voting for spending in Iraq, even though billions of dollars went unaccounted for.
Perhaps the best part is at the end, where Stewart introduces his “Shame-O-Meter.”
