WASHINGTON–Secretary of State John Kerry headlines the annual Gridiron Club and Foundation dinner on Saturday night, returning to the U.S. after a swing this week through Kiev, Paris, Rome and Aqaba, Jordan.
Kerry will deliver a speech on behalf of the Obama administration. Sen. Ted Cruz R-Texas is speaking on behalf of Republicans and former Florida Gov. Charlie Christ is representing Democrats.
The Gridiron Club active members are 65 Washington-based journalists, including this scribe. The white-tie event features musical skits where club members lampoon political figures–Democrats and Republicans.
