President Obama arrived in Chicago Thursday afternoon, where he will attend fundraisers for Sen. Dick Durbin and Senate Democrats. Air Force One landed at O’Hare International Airport. The president then took Marine One to Montrose Beach.

President Obama and Mayor Emanuel disembarked and spent several minutes in deep conversation before parting ways, according to the White House press pool.

An alert issued by the 43rd Ward warns of street closures between 5 and 9:30 p.m. in Gold Coast and Lincoln Park.

The President will depart Cooperstown, New York en route Chicago, Illinois. The departure from Griffiss International Airport and the arrival at Chicago O’Hare International Airport are open to pre-credentialed media. While in Chicago, the President will attend two DSCC events at private residences. Following arrival, the President will deliver remarks and answer questions at the first DSCC dinner.
