WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama has a double-header on Thursday, heading to Cooperstown, N.Y to speak at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum about his new travel and tourism agenda; after that, the president comes home to Chicago for fund-raising events on the North Side to benefit Sen. Dick Durbin D-Ill. and Senate Democrats. Obama will overnight in Chicago.

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
Later in the morning, the President will meet with travel and tourism industry CEO’s and senior executives at the White House to discuss their vital industry, which supports nearly 8 million jobs across the country and is a major driver of our economy. There will be a photojournalist spray at the top of the meeting in the Roosevelt Room.
In the afternoon, the President will travel to Cooperstown, New York. The departure from the South Lawn and arrival at Griffiss International Airport are open press.
In Cooperstown, the President will tour and deliver remarks at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The President will deliver remarks to discuss the administration’s new travel and tourism agenda. There will be travel pool coverage of the President’s tour, while his remarks are pooled for cameras and open to limited correspondents; the deadline to RSVP has closed.
Following this event, the President will depart Cooperstown, New York en route Chicago, Illinois. The departure from Griffiss International Airport and the arrival at Chicago O’Hare International Airport are open to pre-credentialed media.
While in Chicago, the President will attend two DSCC events at private residences. Following arrival, the President will deliver remarks and answer questions at the first DSCC dinner. The dinner is closed press and President’s remarks are open to the print pool for remarks only. Following this event, the President will attend a DSCC reception.
