With Hillary Clinton’s new memoir, “Hard Choices,” scheduled to be released in a few weeks, it’s another in a long line of political memoirs to hit the book shelves.

Why are they so popular? Lynn Sweet says it gives politicians a legal way to pay for a book tour, which essentially is like a political campaign.
