WASHINGTON–President Barack Obama, in Mountain View, Calif. visits a Walmart on Friday to talk about his energy programs and new public and private committments and executive actions to cut carbon pollution. Walmart, often a target of the left because of its labor policies, gets the presidential visit to highlight, according to the White House, its pledge “to double the number of onsite solar energy projects at U.S. stores, Sam’s Clubs, and Distribution Centers by 2020, as part of their commitment to drive the production or procurement of 7 billion kWh of renewable energy by the end of the decade.”
