After trading barbs in a series of on-air attack ads, Democratic incumbebnt Gov. Pat Quinn and Republican opponent Bruce Rauner will appear in the same place tonight — the Illinois State Fair kickoff.

Rauner’s appearance comes after a short respite from the campaign up on his Montana ranch.

Both candidates will walk in the 6 p.m. Twilight Parade, beginning at 9th and N. Grand in Springfield.
