WASHINGTON–Republican activist Herman Cain is headlining a fund-raiser for Illinois GOP Senate nominee Jim Oberweis on Oct. 3 in northwest suburban Hoffman Estates.

Cain dropped his 2012 GOP presidential primary bid after a woman who said she was his mistress went public. 

Oberweis, a state senator, is running against Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill.

The price points for the event, at the Stonegate Banquet and Confernece Center:

$2,600 for “Chairman sponsorship”

$1,000 for “Leadership sponsorship”

$ 500 for “Host sponsorship”

$   50 Reception ticket

Among the folks listed on the invite as sponsors….Illinois GOP honcho Richard Porter….former Rep. Joe Walsh R-Ill.
