A north suburban man was seriously injured when his pickup truck slammed into a tree early Sunday in Wadsworth.

Emergency crews were called about 3:30 a.m. to the crash on North Dilleys Road just north of West Anna Road, according to the Lake County sheriff’s office.

A Ford F-150 had come to a rest on its roof after crashing into a tree, sheriff’s police said. The 27-year-old Antioch man at the wheel was taken to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with serious injuries.

Police are investigating why he lost control of the truck. Dilleys Road was shut down for about two hours as crews cleared the scene.
