A 74-year-old man with dementia who was missing since early Saturday from the West Rogers Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side has been found safe.

Bruce Kurek was last seen when he walked away from home shortly after midnight in the 6100 block of North Francisco, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police. He usually leaves home for a few hours and returns, but he was reported missing when he hadn’t returned by Monday.

Police said Tuesday morning that Kurek had been found “safe and sound.”
