Joe Biden’s biggest fan? Not Leslie Knope, but girl from Iowa

She’s not from Pawnee, but we might as well call this little girl from Iowa Leslie Knope Jr., thanks to her obsession with Vice President Joe Biden.

Little Avery Bral, of Clive, Iowa, is only 3 years old, but she’s in love with the V.P.

Des Moines television station KCCI tells the story.

It all started out when Avery saw Biden on TV, and asked who he was. Soon after, the conversations on her toy phone usually involved Biden.

“From then on for the next couple months, every time she was on her phone it was Joe Biden,” Erica Bral, Avery’s mom said.

And last week, all of those fake conversations with Biden turned into a real one.

That’s because Avery’s grandmother, Becky Burke, posted a message on Biden’s website eight months ago telling him about his little fan.

And he called Wednesday night.

Biden said he saw her note and the two ended up having a five-minute chat. And he’ll also be sending Avery a personal note in the mail.

It’s not the first time Biden has reached out to his fans. In May, a teen girl asked him to her prom, and while he couldn’t attend, he did send her a corsage.

There’s no disputing it — the vice president has a way with the ladies and he knows it.

Just ask Leslie Knope.
