Man shot on Near West Side

A 31-year-old man was shot Monday morning on the Near West Side.

The shooting happened about 3:50 a.m. in the 2700 block of West Adams, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a gunshot wound in the buttocks and took himself to Rush University Medical Center for treatment. Additional information was not immediately available as Area North detectives investigate.
