A University of Illinois at Chicago student was ordered held on $500,000 bail Monday after authorities accused him of re-creating kinky scenes from the bondage-themed movie “Fifty Shades of Grey” while sexually assaulting a woman on Saturday.

Mohammad Hossain, 19, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, authorities said.

The woman, also a UIC student, was allegedly attacked by Hossain during a sexual encounter in a dorm in the 900 block of West Harrison about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, authorities said.

Under questioning by police, Hossain allegedly made statements indicating “that he was re-creating scenes from the movie ’50 Shades of Grey,’ ” the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office confirmed in an email.

A spokesman for the UIC did not respond to a call seeking comment. Prosecutors said Hossain knew the woman he is accused of sexually assaulting.
