One Australian Open ball boy needed a lot of ice Thursday.

Twelfth-seeded Feliciano Lopez fired a 121 mph serve that was a shade long and caught the ball boy in the most delicate of spots.

The trooper he is, the ball boy pretended not to notice how much pain he was in, chasing after the loose ball and quickly running back into place.

Lopez, stunned that the kid was still standing, asks “Are you OK?” At that point, the ball boy felt comfortable enough to drop to one knee in pain. He later walked off the court to a well-deserved round of applause.
