Indy 500 starts with ... a slap to the face

The Indianapolis 500 got off to a rough start even before the ladies and gentlemen could start their engines.

Just as Indianapolis Motor Speedway chairwoman Mari Hulman George — carrying on a family tradition — was about to utter one of sport’s most famous phrases, she was interrupted by another woman on stage, prompting George, 80, to, well, let her know who’s boss.

The woman on stage has been identified as Nancy George, Mari Hulman George’s daughter.
